Academic Membership
IMA provides special tools and resources for the professionals who are developing the industry's future leaders. Academic members have access to our ethics curriculum, case studies, webinars, research grants, mentor program, and many other teaching resources.

IMA offers a wide array of resources for the academic community as well as a discounted membership fee for full-time faculty that is significantly below the regular professional member rate. IMA offers membership to full-time faculty members for $120 per year. To qualify, you must be a full-time faculty member. You will have access to teaching resources such as the IMA Educational Case Journal with supplemental teaching notes, Statements on Management Accounting, and much more. Emeritus Life Membership
One-Year Student Membership
IMA can help open the door to a dynamic career. As an IMA Student member, you can learn about the role of accountants and financial managers in business and explore your career options. IMA offers Student members access to many of the benefits of regular Professional members at a significantly reduced rate. To qualify for this membership type you must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours at a college or university.
As an IMA Student member, you can learn about the accounting and financial management profession, explore your future career options, and build your resume and professional network. We offer Student members access to many IMA membership benefits at significantly reduced rates: IMA Student membership fee of $39 (regularly $230) and reduced CMA certification entrance and exam fees. To qualify for Student membership, individuals must be enrolled in at least six (6) undergraduate or graduate credit hours, or the equivalent, per semester. Student membership can be held for a maximum of six (6) years.
